Our Services
Dyslexia Screenings
Quick in-person or virtual dyslexia screenings to determine if further dyslexia testing is warranted. *Does not include diagnosis*
Comprehensive Dyslexia Evaluation
3-5 hours of extensive standardized testing followed by a full evaluation report which can result in a formal diagnosis of dyslexia (methods tailored to The South Dakota Dyslexia Handbook and SD Eligibility for Special Education guidelines). Includes intervention and accommodation recommendations.
School Outreach
Virtual dyslexia screenings, on-site comprehensive dyslexia evaluations, school-based speech-language pathology services, speech-language pathology assistant supervision, and special education consultation.
Interventionist
Reading Intervention by a certified teacher trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach.

Jennifer Newcomb M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)/Founder
Jennifer completed both her bachelor’s in communication sciences/disorders and a master’s of Speech-Language Pathology at the University of South Dakota (USD). Then, began providing school speech therapy services to children ages birth through 21 across central South Dakota. Jennifer has over 15 years of experience as a school-based SLP. Her extensive knowledge of SD special education eligibility led her to the role of school district special education director.
Recognizing the need for dyslexia and speech therapy services across South Dakota; Jennifer established Two Rivers Language & Literacy to address the needs of students struggling with language and literacy disorders. Jennifer has a passion for getting to the source of student difficulties and leading them on a path to success. She is committed to providing individualized and professional services to students, parents, and educators across South Dakota.
Jennifer is licensed in South Dakota and certified through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
