Meet the Interventionist

Erin Bush
Interventionist
About Me
I’ve been married to my husband, John, for nine and a half years. We have two kids, Kemery (6)and Jett (3), along with our dogs Kona and Skye. We live by the river and enjoy spending time together, especially in the summertime!
My Education
I was born and raised here in Pierre and attended Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, with double minors in Reading and Educational Technology. I have spent the past 8 years teaching 1st grade, gaining valuable experience in reading and literacy instruction.
My Mission
I’m dedicated to helping children overcome reading challenges and build the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond. Whether a child has trouble rhyming, breaking apart sounds in words, spelling, decoding, or reading fluently, I’m here to help! I also work with children who struggle with understanding or recalling what they read, or who have a Dyslexia diagnosis. Using proven, research-based methods, I am trained and provide one-on-one support to help children in grades K-5 thrive! With my background as a certified teacher and years of experience working with young learners, I bring specialized knowledge and training to support each child’s unique needs. My goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where children can build confidence, improve their reading skills, and develop a love for learning!
